Our winter party was so much fun!! Big thanks to Mrs. Stratton for all of her hard work in organizing the party. Thanks also to the other volunteers: Mrs. Ortiz-Jones, Mrs. Deal, Mrs. Blair, and Mrs. McMillin. We couldn't have done it without you!

Fall Party
The party today was a huge success! I'd like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Lori Johnson for her hard work in coordinating all the fun games and activities. I'd also like to thank Mr. England, Mrs. Korwin, Mrs. Saavedra, Mrs. Koss, and Mrs. Lewis for taking time out of their busy days to help out at the party. We couldn't have done it without all of you. Thank you so much!!
The kids loved showing off their costumes at the parade. I'm glad so many family members were able to come out and watch. We couldn't have asked for more perfect weather this afternoon either.
Here are a few pictures from the parade and party; enjoy!!
I have several more pictures to post, but for now I have to get ready for the CARDINALS GAME!!!! Check back a little later this weekend. :)

PJ Day
Our class has earned our tenth ribbon on our "Award Winning Behavior" board! When this happens we have some type of celebration in the classroom. Monday, October 31st, we are going to have a Stuffed Buddy and Pajama Party!
On Monday the children will be allowed to wear their pajamas and bring one, small stuffed animal. Please make sure this stuffed buddy does not make any noise and that it will fit on top of your child's desk. In the afternoon, we will be reading to our stuffed friends and enjoying a small treat.
We hope the kids enjoy this celebration; they've worked so hard to earn it!!

Fall Festival
Question: What is a ghost's favorite day of the week?
Answer: Fright-Day!!
We're having our Fall Celebration this Friday! The parent volunteers have been working really hard to plan a fun, organized party for our class. The kids are super excited!! I want to remind you of a couple of things:
- The children are not allowed to wear their costume to school tomorrow. Instead, have them bring it in their backpack. We will spend some time after lunch getting into our costumes and preparing for the parade. Remember that your child needs to be able to get into costume by his/herself since there will not be anyone to assist with getting ready. I encourage you to save the face paint and make-up for after school. Also, please remember that scary costumes or masks are not allowed at school.
- I hope that all of you can attend the parade at 2:00. The parade will take place on the outside of the building, weather permitting. All three parking lots (west, east, and north) will be available for parking. Staff members will be directing traffic, so please watch for them and follow their directions. Once the lots are full and/or the children are parading, the lots will be closed. Additional parking is available across the street at CVS. After parking, family members can stand on the blacktop to watch the parade. Keep in mind that no one will be allowed into the school unless they are on the volunteer list.
- If you are a parent volunteer, you may enter the building at 1:45. Please use the south gym doors, not the main office. Grade level tables will be set up in the gym. Make sure you have your ID with you, otherwise you will not be allowed to enter the school. At 3:30, all volunteers will be asked to leave so that we have time to pack up and prepare for dismissal.
- The parade will take place from 2:00-2:30 and the party will follow in the classroom from 2:30-3:30.
- We hope all the children have a safe, exciting time at our Fall Festival!
