Fall Festival

Question:  What is a ghost's favorite day of the week?
Answer:  Fright-Day!!

We're having our Fall Celebration this Friday!  The parent volunteers have been working really hard to plan a fun, organized party for our class.  The kids are super excited!!  I want to remind you of a couple of things:
  • The children are not allowed to wear their costume to school tomorrow.  Instead, have them bring it in their backpack.  We will spend some time after lunch getting into our costumes and preparing for the parade.  Remember that your child needs to be able to get into costume by his/herself since there will not be anyone to assist with getting ready.  I encourage you to save the face paint and make-up for after school.  Also, please remember that scary costumes or masks are not allowed at school.
  • I hope that all of you can attend the parade at 2:00.  The parade will take place on the outside of the building, weather permitting.  All three parking lots (west, east, and north) will be available for parking.  Staff members will be directing traffic, so please watch for them and follow their directions.  Once the lots are full and/or the children are parading, the lots will be closed.  Additional parking is available across the street at CVS.  After parking, family members can stand on the blacktop to watch the parade.  Keep in mind that no one will be allowed into the school unless they are on the volunteer list.
  • If you are a parent volunteer, you may enter the building at 1:45.  Please use the south gym doors, not the main office.  Grade level tables will be set up in the gym.  Make sure you have your ID with you, otherwise you will not be allowed to enter the school.  At 3:30, all volunteers will be asked to leave so that we have time to pack up and prepare for dismissal.
  • The parade will take place from 2:00-2:30 and the party will follow in the classroom from 2:30-3:30.
  • We hope all the children have a safe, exciting time at our Fall Festival!
